HB 3000, gives ODA the necessary authority to meet the 2018 Farm Bill and USDA Final Rule requirements.
As such, ODA is updating its rules in order to submit a state plan for review to the USDA.
Some changes being made include:
criminal background check requirements,
changes to pre-harvest sampling requirements,
establishing a May 31 application deadline for growers, and
updates to enforcement.
These ODA proposed rules are now available for public comment!
