Senator Wyden Acknowledges Courtney N. Moran, LL.M. for Hemp Legalization

Federal legalization of hemp has been a long, hard road. Courtney N. Moran, LL.M. has worked on hemp legalization and education since the beginning of her career. Introduction and passing of the 2018 Farm Bill marked the completion of a very big goal for our founding principal.

While many politicians and professionals worked hard on the 2018 Farm Bill, Courtney was truly instrumental in its passing. Many publications have credited her with the success of the bill in Washington, D.C. However, there is nothing like the public acknowledgement from Oregon’s own Senator Ron Wyden who co-sponsored the Hemp Farming Act of 2018 language included in the 2018 Farm Bill with Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell.

Thank you Senator Wyden, for the kind words!

“Courtney, thank you so much for that unquestionably inflationary introduction. And you all should know that Courtney, and where is Malcolm McGeary, were practically a non-stop shuttle services for months and months between our office and Mitch McConnell office and all of the members… [inaudible].

“We would not have hemp legalization without Courtney….” Oregon Senator Ron Wyden

Political change doesn’t always start in Washington DC. It usually is bottom up rather than top down. They would go make their business, they work with senators, they got grassroots support.

I will just tell you in a sentence:

We would not have hemp legalization without Courtney and Malcolm.

Let’s give them a big shout out!”
